Content Overview - Eating Disorders
Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) at DU is an annual event designed to raise awareness of mental health issues and resources and decrease stigma related to mental health. The week is in conjunction with national Mental Health Month, which aims to eradicate mental health stigma across the nation and increase accessibility to mental health resources. Health Promotion works with campus and community partners during this week to provide educational programming and outreach for students, as well as the greater DU community. For this event the HCC is partnering with Southern Smash - Alliance for Eating Disorder Awareness for a virtual SmashTALK panel event. This is a panel discussion on education around eating disorders, as well as empowering individuals to celebrate and embrace self-love and recovery. Panel members will include Southern Smash founder, eating disorder clinicans, and students in recovery.
