Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) at DU is an annual event designed to raise awareness of mental health issues and resources and decrease stigma related to mental health. The week is in conjunction with national Mental Health Month, which aims to eradicate mental health stigma across the nation and increase accessibility to mental health resources. Health Promotion works with campus and community partners during this week to provide educational programming and outreach for students, as well as the greater DU community.

This event is a workshop for suicide prevention. We all have a role to play in noticing the mental well-being of those around us and intervening when we notice someone who can use support. Campus Connect is an experiential workshop designed to enhance your knowledge, awareness, and skills concerning college student suicide prevention. In this workshop, you will learn warning signs of mental health concerns, communication skills, and how to refer someone to campus and community mental health resources.

Attendance at this workshop can count toward the Registered Student Organization (RSO) Ongoing Harm Prevention requirement.
