INTERESTED IN HEALTHCARE OPPORTUNITIES IN NICARAGUA?

Health Outreach for Latin America (HOLA) is a Denver based non-profit specializing in improving access to specialized healthcare services for people living in Nicaragua. At present, HOLA employs two local OBGYNs to work at three rural clinics, providing access to obstetric and gynaecological services that would not exist otherwise.

To support these efforts, HOLA runs immersive healthcare experience trips to Nicaragua for aspiring medical and veterinary students. Attending students are able to shadow local physicians. participate in veterinary activities and conduct valuable research work in multiple communities.

HOLA has run three such trips in partnership with the DU and is actively recruiting for its summer trip this coming August. Executive Director Joe Parker and Denver based Nurse Practitioner Hadley Brown will be attending to provide more information on the trip and their perspectives on the healthcare system in Nicaragua.
