John Carruthers
John Carruthers's current work focuses on evaluating environmental remediation projects in the Puget Sound region of Washington State, and the value of public education and other amenities in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. Before joining Cornell University, Carruthers worked at George Washington University (GW), where he was the founding director of the Sustainable Urban Planning Program, which he led to PAB accreditation. His research has been published in leading journals, including Environment and Planning B, the International Regional Science Review, the Journal of Economic Geography, the Journal of Regional Science, and others.
Peter Tsigaris
Peter Tsigaris's research interests span the areas of environmental economics, taxation policy and issues, decisions under risk, and education economics. He has presented his work at conferences around the world, has published over twenty five manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, and has been recognized with multiple awards for his innovative teaching, such as using experimental games to stimulate students’ interest in economics and sustainability concepts. Tsigaris also led the development of a new master in Environmental Economics and Management program at Thompson Rivers University.
