The war in Gaza has reinvigorated debates about campus free speech. Allegations that universities are hotbeds of antisemitism compete with claims that they are silencing pro-Palestinian voices. How are institutions of higher learning navigating the challenges and controversies surrounding campus speech? Do they really need to protect freedom of expression to fulfill their mission?

The Free Expression & Pluralism Initiative invites you to a lecture and Q&A with Amna Khalid, Associate Professor of History, and Jeff Snyder, Associate Professor of Educational Studies, at Carleton College. Khalid and Snyder work together on academic freedom, free speech, and campus politics.
