Flyer for Public Forum: Debating the Anonymity of Social Media
Join the DU Debate Union for an engaging Public Forum Debate on the anonymity of social media! This debate is open to everyone—no prior experience necessary. Whether you’re a seasoned debater or simply curious, this event is designed for the average person to jump in and share their perspective.

Below is a preview of what the debate looks like!

The first speaker will be predetermined and give a 4-5 minute speech on the affirmation, giving us an introduction and some food for thought for the rest of the debate.

Following the first speaker, we will have a question period with some back and forth from the audience.

After this, the second speaker will also be predetermined and will do the same for the negative side of the debate.

After this, we will rotate having speakers from the negative and affirmation side of the debate from the audience. Speaking is optional, though you are encouraged to do so.

Each speech will be followed by the same back and forth by the audience.

After an hour the structured part of the debate is over, though you are encouraged to stick around and continue the talk after!
