Graduate Writing Accountability Group Registration
How do writing groups work?
Writing groups are informal sessions, lasting two or three hours and facilitated by graduate writing consultants. We have five groups this quarter, and although facilitators have their own personalities and own ways of running things, the groups all follow a similar structure:
  • Check-in, warm-up writing exercise or conversation, and individual goal-setting for the session
  • Three or four timed bursts of writing (25-35 minutes each for individual productivity) with short breaks between
  • A quick closing conversation with a focus on accomplishments large and small
When and where are this quarter’s writing groups?
Groups run from weeks 1-10 in Winter Quarter, starting on Thursday, April 3. Meet in Anderson Academic Commons and over Zoom. Register to get specific locations and links!
  • Thursdays: 12:15–3:00pm
  • Sundays: 12:30 pm–3:30 pm
