Join the Debate Union for a lively discussion on the role of politics in higher education!

This week's motion: “This House Believes Politics Has No Role in Higher Education.”

Debates typically last around an hour and feature two pre-planned speakers, followed by open-floor speeches and questions from the audience. Participation is encouraged—whether you want to speak, ask questions, or just listen and enjoy the exchange of ideas. You are encouraged to speak within the confines of the motion, or to just give your thoughts on the subject. The motion is the start of a conversation, the means and not the end of the debate.
