Members of Lamont’s jazz faculty celebrate Chick Corea’s music with some of their favorite compositions of his as well as Chick-influenced compositions by Eric Gunnison.

Chick Corea, widely recognized as one of the most influential figures in jazz, was a pianist, composer, and bandleader. He was a pioneer of jazz fusion, blending jazz with rock, classical, and Latin music, and was a key member of Miles Davis's band during the late 1960s, contributing to the birth of the fusion movement. Throughout his career, Corea won 23 Grammy Awards and composed numerous iconic works, including "Spain" and "La Fiesta."

Join four members of Lamont’s jazz faculty for an evening in honor of this jazz great!
