This event is designed to give students a clear and practical understanding of how investment banking works and how professionals in the field advise companies on major financial decisions. Attendees will learn what investment banks do, how they help companies raise capital, and how major transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and debt financings are executed in the real world.

The event will also walk students through the highly competitive recruiting process for investment banking roles. Topics include the internship driven hiring model, common recruiting timelines, and how candidates are evaluated through HireVues, first round interviews, and Superdays. In addition, students will learn how to network effectively with alumni and bankers, how to reach out professionally, and how to prepare for informational calls and interviews. By the end of the session, attendees will have a clear roadmap for breaking into investment banking and positioning themselves for internship and full time offers.
