Stephanie O’Malley, JD

Associate Vice Chancellor of Government Relations and Community Affairs

Stephanie Y. O’Malley is a licensed attorney in the State of Colorado and serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor of Government Relations and Community Affairs for the University of Denver. In this role, Ms. O’Malley supports the University of Denver by building effective partnerships between the university and federal, state, and local governments as well as community residents, businesses, and non-profits. She is an integral piece of DU’s advocacy for university needs, interests, and its mission to serve the public good.



Prior to joining DU, Ms. O’Malley attended as a public servant leader for over sixteen years. Her professional career as a public servant has spanned across three mayoral administrations including a four-year term serving as Denver’s first elected County Clerk and Recorder. Within the public sector, she led a total of three municipal departments with annual aggregate budgets totaling more than $550,000,000 and served as a trusted advisor to two elected Mayors.



Ms. O’Malley received her law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration.



Here at DU, Ms. O’Malley has served as Co-chair of the Women’s Leadership Council and facilitated a session for a HerDU conference. She is currently a board member of the Women’s Foundation of Colorado and has been recognized for her civic engagement and leadership efforts by many organizations.

Kiaryce Bey

Kiaryce Bey graduated from the University of Denver in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in biology and minors in math and chemistry. Currently, she works in the biotech industry, managing digital product data for research reagents. Being part of a field that contributes to innovative medical research is incredibly fulfilling. She enjoys constantly learning and appreciating knowing that in some way, she is making an impact on advancing scientific discoveries.

Matthew Brochin

Matthew Brochin has worked in the medical device industry for over a decade, with experience in program management and broad technical expertise. He has been employed at companies of varying sizes, ranging from the world's largest publicly-traded medical device company to privately-owned small businesses. A self-described multipotentialite, Matthew has a diverse background in many fields. He believes in the principles of servant leadership, where the leader's job is best performed through serving others. Matthew has extensive experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, and consulting others. You can often find Matthew involved with networking and mentoring events with DU students, faculty, and fellow alumni, all in service of lifting others up.



Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Sciences from University of Denver and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Colorado Boulder. Matthew holds several professional designations and certifications, including as a project management professional (PMP) and board-certified toxicologist (DABT). Matthew is involved in several professional affiliations with other organizations outside the DU alumni council, including global and local nonprofits which drive development of regulations, policy implementation, and corporate social responsibility.

Teresa Traxler Densmore

Teresa Densmore is an experienced impact entrepreneur dedicated to creating positive change in our community. With a background in entrepreneurship, the nonprofit sector, and business, Teresa offers a distinctive blend of expertise. She founded Alloy Impact Strategies, where she combines mission-driven work with strategic business approaches, guiding impact organizations to maximize their potential for creating meaningful change. Teresa holds a BA from Haverford College and an MBA from the University of Denver. She is a winner of the Denver Chamber of Commerce Trout Tank Pitch Competition and volunteers with multiple entrepreneurship organizations including the Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute and Energize Colorado.

Lauren Braud

Lauren Braud supports the business operations and consultants for the Leadership and Organizational Development consulting practice at FMI, a professional services firm committed to creating a better future for the built environment. In this role, she serves internal and FMI clients, managing everything from invoicing to Executive Coaching offerings.

 



Lauren has a professional background in hospitality, technology and professional services. She is a proud resident of Littleton, a Colorado wine aficionado, and remains involved with DU as a member of the alumni council for the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS).
