Western Jewish Studies Association Conference

REGISTRATION AND CONFERENCE INFORMATION:
The Center for Judaic Studies and the Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society at the University of Denver are honored to host the 2026 conference of the Western Jewish Studies Association (WJSA) on Sunday March 22 and Monday March 23.

The WJSA is a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 to organize a Jewish Studies conference every Spring at alternating sites in the western United States and Canada. The conference serves as a regional forum for Jewish Studies scholars to present their research, discuss pedagogical issues, explore issues facing academic Jewish Studies programs, and network with colleagues in their disciplines.

A few limited travel stipends are available. Contact Dr. Joshua Furman at Joshua.Furman@DU.edu if you would like to be considered for a travel stipend or other financial assistance. Priority will be given to graduate students, those traveling internationally, and those without institutional funding.

Please register by March 8, 2026.


HOTEL:
The conference will be held at the University of Denver campus. We have reserved hotel rooms for attendees at the Hilton Garden Inn Cherry Creek. There will be a shuttle between the hotel and the University of Denver at the beginning and end of each conference day.

The conference rate (“Western Jewish Studies Association”) is:
Double Queen Room: $128 + tax
Single King Room: $128 + tax
*Breakfast is included.
