Nicole McLaughlin is a multidisciplinary designer who turns discarded materials into objects with surprising new purpose—offering a practical (and playful) lens on circular design and manufacturing. In this conversation, Nicole will walk us through how her self-initiated projects evolve into collaborative work, how she balances concept with function, and how designers, entrepreneurs, and creators can make sustainability something you do, not just something you say.

Nicole has partnered with brands including Hermès, Arc’teryx, Nike, eBay, Gucci, and Vans, and her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Design Museum in London (in conjunction with her 2020 Beazley Design of the Year nomination). She was also named to Forbes 30 Under 30 (Art & Design).

Come ready for an honest look at creative process, materials, collaboration, and building a distinct point of view in a world full of “sustainable” marketing.

The conversation will take place from 5–6 PM, followed by a reception from 6–7 PM where guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and view Nicole’s pieces up close.
