Day of Dialogue: Speech to Action - Building on Legacies

Date: Saturday, April 9, 2022 
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Location: DU Campus

Topic: Join us for the inaugural Day of Dialogue! This FREE event is an opportunity for students to meet peers, deepen communication skills relevant to any field, and learn about ways to take action. By applying your knowledge and making connections between identities and social issues, you will expand your awareness and impact not only as a DU community member but as a global citizen.

The day will include a communication workshop, two rounds of dialogue, and a collective reflection activity.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Creative Expression & Wellbeing - Connecting & Creating in Community


Date: Thursday, April 14, 2022 
Time: 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Location: Community Commons - Room 1700 - Grand Forum Central

In this upcoming workshop, Community + Values is excited to bring together a group of phenomenal DU and Denver community members who will delve into creative expression through an experiential workshop. Students will get the opportunity to discover ways to support and strengthen wellbeing through creative expression through a guided reading, music, spoken word, and art creation. Join us in exploring creative expression and learn how to honor your story and shape your wellbeing.

COMN 2700: Inclusive Community: Cross-Cultural Collaboration in Action

When:  Wednesday & Friday| 8:00am - 9:50am | In-Person
Location: TBD 

This course is an experience of cross-cultural collaboration with internal DU partners and local community leaders. Through the encounters provided in the course, you will serve the public good and make a difference through unity and diversity modeled on the Sikh Langar, an expression of shared humanistic values in the public sphere resisting division, violence, and bigotry.
