We are excited to announce our second C+V Community Leadership Conversation featuring two amazing people, Vice Chancellor, MarComms Renea Morris and Senor Vice Chancellor, Advancement Val Otten. Provost Mary Clark will facilitate this conversation, where we will learn even more about “what makes them, them!”
For instance, did you know:
Renea began her job at DU the same day that Jeremy Haefner became Chancellor? And that she has 10 grandchildren, which includes a set of twins! Also, Renea co-founded a nonprofit organization in the early ’90s in LA after the Rodney King riots, which helped thousands of young people find jobs.
And Val speaks Dutch fluently and French conversationally, and she once had a job picking strawberries on a French farm. She also lived in Africa for five years!
We can't wait to learn more about Renea and Val in this conversation, and we invite you to join us! We will create an authentic space to get to know about their experiences, what they love about being a part of the DU community, and ways in which they think we can create a greater sense of belonging for all at DU.
