Mission The DU Film Production Club will be a student run organization for aspiring filmmakers. Our goal is to write, shoot, edit, and screen original short films. Members of the DUFPC will work as a community on various short film projects. While Juniors and Seniors have access to film production classes, DU underclassmen have no place to meet and create with fellow aspiring filmmakers. This club will provide all DU students with the opportunity to work on real films with peers. By cultivating necessary filmmaking skills like writing a script, editing a clip, and working with a team, DUFPC members will be well prepared for their coursework as film majors. The DUFPC has the potential to spark some serious interest in the DU film program, as the club is open to any DU student with any major.
Membership BenefitsClub members get hands on experience in the film production field with a wide variety of different opportunities. These include (but are not limited to) scriptwriting, acting, filming, and directing their own short film within the 10-week period of DU's quarter.
