Ever wondered which fork to use—or how to navigate a professional dinner without stress?
Join us for What the Fork: Dining with Confidence, your annual chance to master the hidden curriculum of dining etiquette while enjoying a delicious three-course meal valued at $45 (yours for free—unless you ghost us 👀).

Learn how to make authentic connections, engage in meaningful conversations, and carry yourself with confidence in any formal dining setting. You'll hear from expert presenters and share the table with fellow students and alumni and employer hosts who are excited to help you grow.

Heads up: If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours in advance, you may be liable to pay for your meal. We’re not saying we’ll send a bill… but we’re also not saying we won’t.

Check in begins at 5:30 with the program and dinner starting at 6:00pm.
------------------------
Business professional attire is requested. Learn more about professional attire on the career blog. You are also welcome visit the Career Closet to get up to four pieces of professional clothing to keep for free.

If you have dietary restrictions: please email Rita O'Connell at rita.oconnell@du.edu by 3:00pm on Tuesday, February 10th with your requested dietary accommodations. Requests after this date are accepted but cannot be guaranteed.

Looking for a headshot? From 5:00-6:00pm we will have a photographer on site providing free professional headshots for FIRST@DU students! Get a professional headshot for LinkedIn while dressed in your Etiquette Dinner best. Headshots require signing up for a 10-minute time slot in advance and are reserved for students in FIRST@DU programs. Registration for headshots here!

Are you a Daniels College of Business student? If yes, then we please ask that you refrain from registering for this event since there is a Daniels College of Business Etiquette Dinner hosted in Spring 2026.

If you can no longer attend:
This is a free event, but if you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not cancel 24 hours in advance, you may be liable to pay for your meal. This will also allow us to invite those on the waitlist and remain cost-efficient. Thank you!

Registration can be canceled online through Monday, February 16th at 3:00pm. After that time, please email rita.oconnell@du.edu if you need to cancel.
