Come to campus wearing denim on Wednesday, April 24th in honor of Denim Day!

Denim Day is a part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and it is a day of global action in which participants wear denim as a challenge to victim-blaming misconceptions about sexual violence, as a protest against systems that continue to cause harm, and as a show of support to survivors.

Denim Day began in 1999 in response to a Supreme Court Case in Italy in which a sexual assault conviction was overturned as a result of judgments made about the survivor's clothing (tight denim jeans). Don't have denim? Come to our annual Consent Fair on Wednesday, April 24th from 11am to 2pm in CCOM 1700 for free denim from the DU Thrift Store (while supplies last)!
