
2025 Legal Trends Mandatory Training - Morning Session

Legal Trends is an annual collaborative endeavor to provide legal, regulatory, and risk management insights to DU supervisors and managers. Sessions include presentations by Legal Counsel, Enterprise Risk Management, Information Technology, Equal Opportunity/Title IX, HRIC, ORSP, and more.
As in the past, the Legal Trends is a mandatory training and is specially designed to meet the needs of community members who meet the following criteria:
- Complete annual reviews for benefited employees
- Hire or supervise employees (including non-benefited and work study positions)
- Have authority to request FTE or staff positions during the budget development process
- Have authority to decide how budget is spent to deliver programs or employee compensation
- Have program delivery/management (on- or off-campus) responsibilities
- Act as an agent of the University (acts on behalf of the University)
- Formulate agreements or contracts with vendors
- Faculty serving as a department chair and/or in an administrative role
We are using Crimson Connect as our platform for registration and compliance tracking. You MUST register via Crimson Connect.
Legal Trends 2025 offers a morning and afternoon session on October 30, 2025, in-person and virtual. You only need to register for one session.
- Option 1: October 30, 9:00am - 11:00am MST
- Option 2: October 30, 2:00pm - 4:00pm MST
The session will also be recorded for anyone unavailable to attend on October 30. We will send out Zoom link to those who register for virtual closer to the event.
