KIHA Lunch & Learn: Slaying the Ageism Dragon with Janine Vanderburg
Details
Americans are living longer and for the most part healthier lives, and discarding outdated notions of what retirement means.
Yet ageism—our own and that perpetuated in popular culture can interfere with our full pursuit of what’s next.
In this interactive presentation, sharing stories from her own post-retirement venture, Janine Vanderburg will share:
- Current data about working, both paid and unpaid, past traditional retirement age
- What ageism is, and how it can manifest in ourselves, in work and in our culture
- Concrete strategies and techniques we can use to free ourselves from its confines
This lunch is sponsored by Aging at 5280.
