Join us for our final AI Exchange event of the year! This will be a two-part session focused on how to build custom chatbots in Microsoft CoPilot for teaching and learning with Chris Chapman and Melissa DeWitt from the College of Professional Studies. Part 1 will focus on the technical aspects of building custom chatbots and part 2 will focus on how to use custom chat bots for teaching and learning contexts. Come to one or both sessions!

Chris Chapman is the Academic Quality & Data Specialist, serving on the Data Insights & Operation team, at the College of Professional Studies (PSC). His role consists of many technical data centric tasks for operations at the college, while also leading the faculty learning “Data Dine & Dash(board)” series where new data tools are presented and tested. With AI dominating the technology space, Chris has followed suit by providing an opportunity for colleagues to learn and test AI tools and applications during these sessions. His experience with integrating AI into DU processes gives him a unique perspective he is always willing to share with others.

Melissa DeWitt is an instructional designer and adjunct instructor for the College of Professional Studies, where she collaborates with subject matter experts and instructors to create engaging e-learning experiences. She integrates technologies and AI into her work, developing custom GPTs to support instructional design, course development, and idea generation. Her approach centers on student-focused, relational teaching practices and exploring how emerging technologies can enhance meaningful learning experiences.
