PBK Purpose

To recognize, encourage, and connect scholars in the liberal arts and sciences at and beyond the University of Denver.

History

The University of Denver chapter, Gamma of Colorado, was chartered in November, 1940.

We are developing a summary of our eighty plus years; and welcome your contribution of notable members, events, images, and accomplishments.

Honor items & merchandise

Beyond a certificate to new members, the Chapter does not provide or sell PBK merchandise, such as keys or honor cords. Members can purchase directly from www.pbkkey.com  

Members are welcome to wear PBK honor items at graduation or other events. Information on upcoming ceremonies is at www.du.edu/commencement

2025-26 Executive Committee

Treasurer: Victor Castellani, PhD, professor emeritus, Languages, Literatures & Cultures (Tau of New York, Fordham)

Founded in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's first Greek-letter organization, and most prestigious academic honor society.
