NOTE: Participants may arrange their own transportation to Trinidad or join us on a bus from Denver. The bus will depart from the HEA parking lot at 11:00 AM on Sunday, September 14 and return at c. 6:30 PM on Monday, September 15.

Details
We will delve into the Jewish history of the town and learn about the restoration of Temple Aaron, which became a National Historic Landmark in 2024.
This trip will include an overnight stay in Trinidad and a visit to the Trinidad History Museum and other nearby sites.
Travel with RMJHS by bus from Denver or plan your own transportation and meet us there.
A charter bus will be leaving from the HEA parking lot at 11:00 AM on Sunday, September 14 and returning at c. 6:30 PM on Monday, September 15.
The Trinidad program will start at 3:45 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn Trinidad Downtown.
Cost of Trinidad program including bus from/to Denver: $150/person
Cost of Trinidad program only: $50/person
Cost of accommodations at Hilton Garden Inn Trinidad Downtown: $139 + tax

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14
> Denver meeting point for participants taking the bus: HEA (3600 S Ivanhoe St, Denver, CO 80237)
10:45 AM | Check in and board the bus!
11:00 AM | Bus departing HEA (driving time = c. 3.5 hours)
c. 3:00 PM | Bus arriving at Hilton Garden Inn DowntownTrinidad Downtown, check in to rooms
> 3:45 PM > Start of Trinidad program (meet at Hilton Garden Inn (201 Americana Rd., Trinidad, CO 81082)
4:00 PM | Visit Jewish cemetery
5:00 PM | Tour and group dinner at Temple Aaron
c. 7:30 PM | Return to hotel
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
7:00-9:45 AM | Breakfast on your own, check out of hotel and deposit luggage on bus
10:00 AM | Visit AR Mitchell Museum of Art
11:00 AM | Mining monument and brief history of mining in Trinidad
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM | Lunch on your own and time to explore Trinidad (self-directed)
1:00 PM | Tour of Trinidad History Museum
> 2:30 PM | End of Trinidad program
2:30 PM | Board bus to return to Denver
c. 6:30 PM | Arrive at HEA
Food Provided (Sunday: RMJHS will provide catered dinner at Temple Aaron on Sunday evening.
Monday: Participants receive 10% discount on breakfast at the hotel restaurant; free coffee available. The schedule will allow time for participants to have lunch on their own.
RMJHS will provide snacks/bottled water in limited quantities - we recommend participants bring their own refillable water bottle!)
