Emergency Medical Services

About Us

The Emergency Medical Services program at the University of Denver (DU EMS) is a fully functional EMS agency, integrated into the City and County of Denver emergency medical response system, providing high-quality basic life support emergency medical care to the DU campus. We deliver community health services through comprehensive education and training programs, targeted at the entire DU community. We partner with the Health and Counseling Center, Department of Campus Safety and Office of Public Health to promote health and wellness campus-wide.

DU EMS serves as a hub for allied health education. Through our innovative partnership with Denver Health EMS Education, we are training the next generation of EMS providers and equipping current providers with our renowned behavioral health and executive leadership programs, all tailored to the EMS profession. Our Kennedy Mountain Campus plays classroom to a renowned wilderness medicine programming. Leveraging the University’s history of academic excellence, we serve the public good, keeping communities safe and healthy, while fostering what we call the community of care.
