11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
As we enter into Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), come talk to us about the DOs and DON’Ts of online dating, sexting, and even AI companionship over donuts!
With an ever-evolving digital landscape, it’s important that we consider how we center consent and support safety in a virtual space!
Share your own ideas and leave with some new ones so you can have better online experiences!
CAPE will also be present sharing more about the work they do on campus to support community members impacted by interpersonal violence.
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Stop by & chat with the Thrive Peer Educators about how to communicate sexual preferences and desires in an informed and consensual way!
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
As we continue to honor Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), come check out our fragrance bar and customize your own “(con)scent” using essential oils and consent language!
Everyone will leave with a customized fragrance and a better understanding of how to integrate consent into their interpersonal relationships!
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Denim Day is a global day of action occurring, this year, on Wednesday, April 29th. Participants are asked to wear denim to campus as a challenge to victim-blaming misconceptions about sexual violence, as a protest against systems that continue to cause harm, and as a show of support to survivors.
Don't have denim? Join Thrive Health Promotion and CAPE at our Denim Decorating event in Community Commons 1700 from 11am-2pm. Denim patches and decorating supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own denim pieces if you would like!
We'll also have other consent-centered activities as well as Consent Cupcakes brought to you by DU Dining!
