It's Time to Re-Register your RSO for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
The annual RSO Re-Registration window is OPEN!!! Priority deadline is May 31st.
When you log onto your group's page on CrimsonConnect you'll see a blue banner at the top of the page prompting you to re-register your group. We highly encourage incoming RSO Officers to be the ones to re-register for the group - or to be the officers you'll list in the Re-Registration form so we have the most up to date contact information headed into next year.
Documents You'll Need:
Updated RSO Constitution: Each year we expect RSOs to review their Constitution to be sure it accurately reflects the way the RSO conducts business. There are several sections of USG Sample Constitution that are "recommended" or "required" - make sure your constitution has what you need.
Active Membership Roster: You'll be asked to upload a membership roster of those members who will still be active in your organization in 2025-26. You MUST upload this using the provided excel .xls template.
Advisor Agreement:A new RSO/Advisor agreement form for 2025-26 is required. Now is a great time to check in with your RSO Advisor about their interest in continuing as your RSO advisor next year, or to determine if a different faculty or staff person on campus may be a better fit for the needs of the organization. Consider how your Advisor can support your team in the process of transitioning to new officers. If your RSO needs support identifying an RSO advisor, please reach out to studentengagement@du.edu
RSO Room Lottery for Driscoll & Community Commons:
Lottery is now open
We are conducting the RSO Space Lottery for the ENTIRE ‘25/’26 Academic Year, with the submission form open from April 28th-May 30th for priority registration. Late registration will run through June 6th. The RSO Space Lottery helps ensure you have a space for your regular, recurring meetings (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly). As a part of this process, we also asking you place your ideal request in Momentus. which will make it easier for us to plot, confirm and/or modify.
We will do our best to accommodate your preferred request and will reach out if unable to. We will start plotting/confirming/modifying during week 9 with a goal to have your reservations set by June 2nd. Should you have any questions, please email them to CCEvents@du.edu
Join us for a casual drop-in lunch and connect with fellow student organization Officers! This is a great opportunity to grab a bite, ask questions about the re-registration process, and get support from the Office of Student Engagement team. Whether you are new to your role or just need a quick refresher, stop by to get the information and guidance you need.
Last day to use RSO P-card without prior approval from the Business Office.
If you know you'll have something that requires payment after that date, you MUST email studentcomptroller@du.edu by May 16th to request an exception for end of quarter payment.
Supplemental funding requests from USG will close on May 10th to allow time for review, allocation, and purchasing ahead of the May 16th deadline.
Getting ahead of RSO P-Card Use Deadline & Vendor Payments
The last day for RSO PCard usage will be Friday, May 16th to allow time for expense reconciliation by the SAIE Business Office. Student groups should plan accordingly by requesting funds and purchasing any program materials/supplies in advance using the P-Card checkout procedure through the Community Commons Welcome Desk (as usual). Don't forget to turn in your receipts!!!
Any RSO’s that needs to pay a vendor after the May 16th date will need to submit a written request to the Business Office by emailing studentcomptroller@du.eduprior to the May 16th deadline.
Failure to comply with this procedure can result in loss of spending privileges or inability to pay vendors.
As a final, friendly reminder, RSO Advisors should NEVER be using their own credit card, P-Card, or department's P-card to make purchases on behalf of an RSO they advise if the funds will be spent from the RSO's account.
Don't forget that every RSO is responsible for at least 25% of their membership completing a Harm Reduction workshop at some point during the year (before the end of Spring Quarter).
More information about the Harm Reduction Requirement, including how close your RSO is to meeting the minimum requirement can be found here.
Harm Reduction Workshop Facilitators are once again hosting a the Harm Reduction Summit - 2 weeks of open workshops happening weeks 6-7.
Please RSVP in advance to the individual workshops listed within this event page so the facilitators know to expect attendees!
