All About Winter Carnival Week!
Winter Carnival week is the week leading up to Winter Carnival weekend where DUPB hosts events on campus for students to enjoy before heading up to the mountain to ski!!
The following information covers what events will be occuring on campus during week 7!
Don't forget!! You can pick up your lift and tubing tickets at any of our events during the week!!
Monday: Mellow ‘Mallow
Starting off the week, on Monday, February 16th, from 5 - 8 pm inCCOM 1700. Begin the week off with some nice hot chocolate paired with a yummy chocolate fountain. Take a chance at sugar cookie decorating and building your own self-care kit. Or take a photo with your friends at our photobooth!! Going up to the mountain during the weekend? Come to this event to get a FREE ski waxing!!! Be fast!! Limited amount of skis will be waxed!!
Continue the week, on Tuesday, February 17th, from 6 - 8 pm inCCOM 4th floor. Spice your week with some casino games and some famous characters!! Meet Rapunzel, spend some time with Spiderman or even create chaos with a minion!! Finally take your chance at a prize wheel!!
Enjoy Hump day, on Wednesday, February 18th, from 8 - 10 pm inMagness Arena. Get ready to get your disco on with some disco-themed ice skating. Take a break and relax with some yummy Raisin Canes!! Finally, stop by and get your face painted!!
STUDENTS!! Ensure you have your STUDENT ID ready for entry!!
Stop by on Thursday, February 19th, from 11-1 pm on 1st floor of CCOM to come pick up your lift and tubing tickets if you haven't gotten a chance to at one of our events during the week!!
Saturday: Sip and Paint
Can't go up to the mountain? Want to still enjoy something during the weekend? Lucky for you we have an on-campus event happening on Saturday, February 21st, from 1 - 3 pm inCCOM 1700. Come to a FREE experience where you sit down for a few hours and enjoy following an instructor and paint step-by-step while enjoying a nice non-alcoholic beverage. Limit availability!! Get a spot while you can!
DUPB's Mission is to provide quality, campus-wide programs and events to positively enhance each DU student’s college experience beyond the classroom which foster campus spirit and community through intentional and inclusive engagement.
Stop by and enjoy some sweet treats! We'll have hot chocolate, sugar cookies with frosting to decorate, and a chocolate fountain. You can also take pictures at the photobooth, build self-care kits, and get your skis waxed before joining us on the slopes!
Come play casino games, drink mocktails, and meet some of your favorite characters! Challenge your friends to blackjack, craps, and poker - who will come out on top? Enter raffles for big prizes, and take photos with Spiderman, Rapunzel, and a minion!
Come down to Magness Arena for ice skating, face painting, and Raising Cane's! Enter to win exclusive prizes - from Jellycats to hockey jerseys. Winter Park ticket pickup will be available, and disco accessories will be provided!
The chilly gusts of wind and piles of snow on the ground can only mean one thing, Winter Carnival is here! This is the official registration page for our various ticket pickups, including bus tickets to get up to Winter Park, ski lift tickets, and tubing tickets. More details about the time to come!
Buses will take students up to Winter Park on Friday (5 am) and Saturday (5 am), and return students to campus on Saturday (6 pm) and Sunday (12 pm). Tickets are available for you to buy at a very discounted price.
Please use the link below to book your hotel stay at The Vintage Hotel at the base of the mountain for ease and access. Enjoy some activities in the hotel with us, hot tub, pool, and free parking with your stay. Three-night minimum stay (recommend Thursday 2/19 - Sunday 2/22).
