The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is excited to announce a new way for students to share your notable professional achievements in research, scholarship, and creative activity. We have launched a new web (LINK) form that allows you to provide detail about the accomplishment type, description, related URL, and related photos or files. Once the form is submitted, it will be reviewed and disseminated to the appropriate parties around campus including, but not limited to, division/department communications and administration teams, DU Marketing & Communications, the Office of the Provost, and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. We are thrilled to be able to offer this quick and easy gateway to share your good work and look forward to reviewing your submissions and celebrating your achievements. More info

The DU Safety App

The DU Safe app is now available to help ensure your safety on campus. Did you know, you can get severe weather alerts from Campus Safety, right to your phone with DU Safe? Pretty handy on weeks like this when Colorado weather doesn't want to play nice. You can also get tips on how to stay safe during a severe weather emergency in the Emergency Plans section. For example, if you happen to be in your car when faced with an oncoming tornado, do not wait out the storm in your car. Instead, attempt to outrun the tornado by driving perpendicular to its path.

The DU Safe app is an excellent tool for keeping yourself safe on campus and gives access to so many safety features that are meant to aid you and the DU Community. We encourage you to download and share it with your friends. Simply visit your app store, search for “DU Safe” and add the app to your device. Then, use your standard DU credentials (the same you would use to authenticate into your email address or MyDU) and begin using the many safety features offered within DU Safe.

The DU Safe app is now available to help ensure your safety on campus. One of the most helpful features of the app is the ability to request a Virtual Walkhome from Campus Safety Dispatch. This feature allows Campus Safety to monitor your progress to your end destination, ensuring you arrive safely. Virtual Walkhome will use your location services and, if necessary, the calling function of your device to call 911. Campus Safety will be able to monitor your progress to your end destination.

The DU Safe app is now available to help ensure your safety on campus. Walks are always safer with a friend, but what if your friend is already at home? A benefit our students especially enjoy is the Friend Walk feature, which allows your friend to monitor your walk from point A to point B to ensure safe arrival. This feature also includes an emergency button, so your friend can protect you and see you home safely no matter where they are located.

The DU Safe app is now available to help ensure your safety on campus. You know those blue light boxes on campus—the ones that provide students, staff and faculty the ability to quickly alert authorities in the event of an emergency? They have been a staple of campus safety for years, but wouldn't it be handy to have an instant blue light wherever you are? Now, you can take that emergency blue light with you anywhere you go on campus with DU Safe! DU Safe is designed to facilitate continuous safety measures for all campus stakeholders, including faculty and staff. One popular feature is the MobileBlueLight, which enables your phone to automatically share your location and place an emergency call to Campus Safety. They will receive your location in real-time and talk to you on the phone to help you through your emergency.

The DU Safe app is now available to help ensure your safety on campus. The DU Safe app is packed with safety resources that will help keep you safe in many real-life situations. The Safety Tool Kit shows a notification history of alerts that campus safety has sent out. Additionally, the app includes a "Report a Tip" feature that allows you to choose between reporting an emergency or non-emergency, anonymously if you wish. And in the Emergency Plans section, you'll find all sorts of tips on what to do in common emergency situations, such as a bomb threat, a suspicious package, a medical emergency and even an active shooter.
