Free Zero Waste Laundry Detergent Sheets:
USG Sustainability Committee
The University of Denver joins 21 Universities to partner with Generation Conscious and pilot a FREE zero waste hygiene equity program on campus! Starting February 3rd, students can input their student ID to access free refills of laundry detergent sheets from the Generation Conscious dispenser located in CCOM 3600 (Undergraduate Student Lounge). If 2 out of 3 students refill GenCo detergent sheets then we can achieve a 45% carbon reduction pathway to meet IPCC goals of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. Help encourage your students to support zero waste initiatives on campus and get free laundry detergent!

Followup Re: Fizz Survey
We are writing to share the results from the Fizz Survey that we sent to you in an email communication on January 8, 2025. As a reminder, the survey had three parts: (1) learning across difference; (2) on campus experience; and (3) a primary focus of questions on the Fizz virtual environment based on multiple reports that DU students were being targeted on that platform. We shared in the January 8th communication, and it is essential to reiterate that there is no tolerance at the University for bullying, discrimination and/or harassment whether occurring in person or through written or electronic means. Students found responsible for these behaviors could be subject to outcomes that may include suspension or expulsion.
Do you know a student leader, faculty member, or DU office/department that is doing exemplary work in leading accessibility initiatives and creating a lasting impact across campus? Nominate them for an award for this Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)! Awardees will receive a plaque and be honored during GAAD, and all nominees will be recognized for their contributions. Nominations are due April 9.
