Welcome to the sixth week of the Diversity Summit. This week, we consider how to harness and activate our learning from the first five weeks of the summit. Paulo Freire describes "praxis" as "reflection and action upon the world in order to change it." As such, our speakers during the next two weeks of the summit will help us transform our learning into everyday practices of equity. (Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed,1972, 52)
