This newsletter has all of the most important details, frequently asked questions, and links to helpful resources to support you in re-registering your RSO, signaling to the Office of Student Engagement and Undergraduate Student Government that you will be ACTIVE for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Prep these materials before you start:
Update your Constitution
It is expected RSOs review and update their Constitution to be sure it accurately reflects the way the RSO conducts business.
There are several sections of USG Sample Constitution that are "recommended" or "required" - make sure your constitution has what you need.
TIP FOR SUCCESS: make sure your constitution cover page lists the upcoming academic year (2026-27), the re-registration will be returned for modifications if it doesn't.
Active Membership Roster
You'll be asked to upload a membership roster of those members who will still be active in your organization in 2026-27.
TIP FOR SUCCESS: make sure you submit your roster in the correct format - must be an EXCEL file built with THIS TEMPLATE (only columns A - D need to be filled in, and @du.edu email addresses must be used), the re-registration will be returned for modifications if the wrong file type is submitted.
Now is a great time to check in with your RSO Advisor about their interest in continuing as your RSO advisor next year, or to determine if a different faculty or staff person on campus may be a better fit for the needs of the organization.
TIP FOR SUCCESS: make sure all information is filled in, the re-registration will be returned for modifications if any of the blanks are missing information or a signature is missing.
Officer Transition Guide
There's an optional upload for transition documents, and a fill-in template you can use to guide you through (clicking the link will download the template).
TIP FOR SUCCESS: Register today for Transition & Treats (May 16 | 1pm-4pm) for outgoing and incoming officers to connect and walk through all the important information together!
HOW TO RE-REGISTER:
1) Find the Blue "+Group Re-Registration" Button
As a current Officer, when you log onto your group's page on CrimsonConnect you should see a blue banner at the top of the page prompting you to re-register your group, all the instructions are there.
It looks ilke this:
TIP FOR SUCCESS: Incoming RSO Officers should be the ones you list where the re-registration form asks for your officers.
If incoming officers will be the ones re-registering the group, they can access the re-registration process through the full group-list (from the top of the CrimsonConnect Homepage - use the Groups Icon and click the blue +All Groups button) and you can search for your organization.
The status of your re-registration will be listed next to your group, looking something like this, with the blue "+Group Re-Registration" button there to start the process. It will look like this:
2) Fill in the information and upload your materials
The Re-Registration form will walk you through everything you need to input and upload, and will save your progress if you need to step-away and come back to it.
COMMON QUESTIONS/ERRORS:
I'm trying to list our new officers for next year but it won't let me type in a name:
Make sure you delete out the name of the person currently listed in the text-box where you can search for the person you want to list. Once there's no name in the box the system will let you search.
*NOTE: some users in CrimsonConnect have their privacy settings such that they are NOT searchable in the CrimsonConnect directory. If the person you're looking for isn't populating you may need to reach out to them to have them temporarily adjust their profile settings.
I already started the Re-Registration form but now I can't figure out how to pick up where I left off:
Log into CrimsonConnect
Navigate to "My Surveys & Forms" at the bottom of the left-hand menu bar on the homepage
Find the draft of the "RSO Re-Registration 2026-2027" form and click on the "edit" icon
Pick up where you left off and finish submitting.
There’s a good chance you’ll need to scroll down after you read the important information at the top of the page to see the additional questions we need answered.
I am getting an error message when I try to complete the Re-Registration:
First try either opening CrimsonConnect in an "Incognito" window and doing the re-regisration there, or clearing out your browser's cache/cookies.
A copy of your most up to date constitution/bylaws
Your .xls formatted membership roster
Your signed 2025-26 Advisor Agreement form
Transition Guide (if you've filled it out)
In the body of the email please answer the following:

3) Apply for the Driscoll & Community Commons recurring meeting lottery for 2026-27
