Triangle Fraternity Joins Our Community!

We want to take a quick moment to recognize a new addition to our community, Triangle Fraternity. Founded in 1907 at the University of Illinois, Triangle is a fraternity of engineers, architects, and scientists who carry out the organization's purpose by establishing chapters that develop balanced men who cultivate high moral character, foster lifelong friendships, and live their lives with integrity. You can follow them on Instagram by going to: https://www.instagram.com/triangle_du.

A Message From Christopher

As winter break draws to a close and the new year dawns, Madison and I are excited to welcome you back to campus! This time of year is always exciting with new leadership opportunities, reuniting with friends and siblings, resuming traditions, and setting the stage for more incredible experiences. Each of you has a unique story to tell, but more importantly, each of you adds to the brilliance that is our community; a community rooted in togetherness, leadership, shared values, and inclusion. Your energy inspires your fellow members and classmates to make DU and the world around us a better place.

We recognize that the current times are both exciting and challenging. However, if any community is going to rise to these challenges, it is our community. Whether is strengthening your chapter relationships, working closer with chapters different from yours, or simply living your values, you will ensure that our community will thrive long into the future. Remember that you are not alone. Your chapter, your council, your fellow members, and our office is ready to support all of you every step of the way to the best of our ability.

For the rest of this school year, the office will be focusing on several areas to improve your experience. These areas include improved community branding, greater access to resources as we build out the FSL Resources webpage, and improved information sharing about FORGE to name only a few of our priorities. However, these priorities do not exist in a vacuum. Your voices will be heard as much as possible to ensure a wide range of ideas.

Madison and I look forward to working as directly with each of you as possible. If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to either of us. Thank you for all you do for our community and welcome back!

A Message From Madison

Welcome to the winter quarter! I am thrilled to be back on campus and welcome new leaders into their roles as chapters and councils begin to pass the torch. That being said, I want to extend a huge THANK YOU and CONGRATS to our leaders who are leaving their terms. Thank you for being my first group of student leaders, and welcoming me into the DU community.

With 1 quarter under my belt, I am excited to start dreaming big about what FSL and the University of Denver could be.

Come chat anytime about what you envision for our community.

Proud of you always!

Community of Care and Addressing Concerns about Bullying

On Jan. 8, 2025, you should have received an email from the Dean of Students office about addressing bullying. The email addresses various concerns that have been raised about this topic so please make sure you read the entire email. To the end, it is CRITICAL that each of you take time to answer the anonymous survey about your experiences regarding bullying at DU and/or provide suggestions on how to reduce and, hopefully, eliminate bullying. You can access the survey from the email or by clicking here

The deadline for this survery is Tuesday, January 21, 2025. As the penultimate leaders on campus, this is a way to ensure that all of your fellow students are taken care of and made safe. It is Christopher's expectation that each of you fill out the survey.

If you're not following FSL on social media, you should! You can find us on InstagramTiktok, and Facebook!
