Intercultural Workshop

Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 (4-5:15pm) | Sturm Hall 379 walk-in Feeling stressed or overwhelmed by cultures? Join us in this interactive workshop. Learn and discuss some of the perks and ideas about intercultural competence. This workshop is in collaboration with the course ENGG 3003 Integrated Communication Skills by our very own doc student, Ping Robert, Educational Leadership & Policy Studies. Just walk-in.

Graduate Study Bible Study | In-Person & Zoom

Protests in Iran for the Death of Mahsa Amini

Over the last month and a half, there have been mounting protests in Iran, resulting from the death of Mahsa Amini. As members of the DU community, both international and domestic, there are resources available for you, if you are experiencing distress and would like to talk with someone.

    • My SSP (My Student Support Program) It's okay to ask for help. Contact us for 24/7 real-time support via text, phone, app, or internet. My SSP has counselors available who speak Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Arabic, French, English and many others based on request and availability.

  • Student Assistance Fund (SAF) provides financial assistance to students to help prevent emergency situations or unexpected financial needs from impacting a student’s ability to fully participate in their experience at the University of Denver (DU). The fund is designed to offset a short-term financial need and is not intended to replace or supplement financial aid or other sources of income. Student Outreach and Support will also work with students to discuss long-term plans, as needed.

    • Student Appointments: You can schedule a time to meet with an international student advisor to discuss your questions or concerns. Appointments are held via Zoom, in-person appointment available upon request.
    • Walk-In Advising: Walk-in advising which does not require an appointment is available in the Community Commons Suite 3100. Walk-in hours are Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1pm to 3pm.
