From: RSO Officers Date: November 12, 2024 Subject: RSO Officer Newsletter: End of Fall Notices
IMPORTANT: Last Day to Request RSO P-Card is FRIDAY 11/15
The last day to request a P-Card for Fall Quarter is this Friday, November 15th. With this in mind, all purchases should be made by Tuesday, November 17th, and receipts submitted before the end of next week.
The business office will not be reviewing P-Card checkout requests after the 15th until we return for Winter Quarter.
Speaking of P-Cards, and working with the Business Office - please remember that they communicate through the CrimsonConnect chat feature most often if they require an update to something that's been submitted. Failure to respond to those chat messages could result in loss of spending privileges.
NOTE: Those RSOs who have already been approved by the Business Office for a Travel P-Card over break should still put in their requests as discussed with Tommy Nagle.

$0 Speaker Agreement Update
An important, hopefully welcomed, update regarding booking external speakers or panelists for events with your RSO:
If your RSO is NOT paying the speaker or panelist to present at an RSO event, the University is no longer requiring speaker agreements for such events.
If your RSO is paying a speaker for an engagement with your RSO either the DU Speaker Agreement will be required, or a contract provided by the speaker will be required and must be submitted as part of the Event Registration so that the agreement/contract can be reviewed and signed by the University through the contract workflow.
**NOTE: some unpaid speaker events may still be subject to the speaker agreement being needed, these will be considered on a case-by-case basis (ex: events where large numbers of non-DU guests are expected, events bringing foreign nationals as speakers/panelists, topics of presentation the present additional risk, etc).
Fall Quarter in Review:
This quarter, RSOs hosted a total of 360 events and club meetings.
Based on RSVPs/Registrations the most well-attended events this quarter were:
SASA, SASE & The Cultural Center's Diwali
LAISA, LSA, NSA & The Cultural Center's Dia de los Muertos Celebration
Divest DU's Campus Convos: Activism Open Mic Night
Great job! For all other RSOs, keep an eye out for a Harm Reduction Week in Winter Quarter where workshop facilitators will be offering open workshops throughout week 6 or 7 (details are still being mapped out).
