DU Safe App

DU Safe

One of the most helpful features of the app is the ability to request a Virtual Walkhome from Campus Safety Dispatch. This feature allows Campus Safety to monitor your progress to your end destination, ensuring you arrive safely. Virtual Walkhome will use your location services and, if necessary, the calling function of your device to call 911. Campus Safety will be able to monitor your progress to your end destination.

24-25 FAFSA Changes

Important information for faculty, student-facing staff and student employees! As many have likely heard, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is undergoing its biggest redesign in 40 years. Historically, the FAFSA has been available on Oct. 1 each year. A specific date hasn’t been announced yet, but we know the 2024-25 FAFSA will not be available until sometime in December of 2023. The new FAFSA will be shorter, more user-friendly and available in more languages. Beginning with 2024-25, students and families must provide consent on the FAFSA for the Department of Education to receive tax information or confirmation of non-filing status directly from the IRS, and the term Expected Family Contribution (EFC) will be replaced with the Student Aid Index (SAI). Read more about other changes and what this all means for DU students on the financial aid website here: https://www.du.edu/admission-aid/financial-aid-scholarships/2024-25-fafsa-changes
