Each year, the University of Denver recognizes Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) during the month of April by hosting a number of awareness and education events for the DU community. SAAM is a national campaign to raise awareness about consent and sexual assault. We will also recognize Denim Day – an international day to draw attention to sexual violence and show support for survivors.
Follow @ThriveatDU on instagram and facebook to stay up to day. Undergraduate students can register for events on Crimson Connect. Graduate students, please email hcc.thrive@du.edu if you are interested in attending!
Undergraduate Student Government Election Info Sessions
Undergraduate Student Government Elections are right around the corner. In order to run for an elected position all interested candidates must attend one of the 30-min virtual information sessions. Only two sessions left:
Feeling stressed out? Looking for free support? Join one of Health Promotion’s peer-led support groups in Spring Quarter 2021! DU students can attend free and confidential peer to peer support groups biweekly for their mental health and overall well-being. Each session will be led by trained peer facilitators. Due to COVID-19, groups will be virtual until in-person meetings can take place safely. How to Sign Up: Register to participate in a biweekly group on CrimsonConnect! Group member commitment to attending each week is important to promote feelings of safety and trust amongst the group members. A participation agreement will be shared upon registration for you to sign before the first support group meeting. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact hcc.thrive@du.edu or check out du.edu/thrive.
Come to the community commons and join DUPB for an afternoon of fun games including bingo, trivia, and some fun outdoor games (weather permitting)! Students can come pick up a game-themed goodie bag and have the chance to win prizes. We also encourage everyone who attends to wear their most fun mask and participate in the fun while staying safe, and there will be masks to decorate as well! Students will also be able to join from home and can pick a breakout room based on which games they'd like to participate in.
The Clarion is the official student newspaper of the University of Denver, serving as the community’s voice. Read some of the highlights from our publication this week:
