CCOM Storage needs your attention!

If your RSO ultilizes the CCOM Storage Cage in the Basement, you've been assigned a numbered bin. That means ALL of your materials being stored MUST be contained WITHIN your assigned bin(s).

Several RSOs have left materials after events just laying in the walk-way of the storage cage, and this needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY! This is a shared space, please ensure it is kept neat and usable for the other members of the RSO community.

We're asking that you make a plan to consolidate your items, throw out anything that is no longer use-able, find a new home for any food or drink products (as they absolutely cannot be stored in the cages), and remove anything your RSO has in the walkway of the cage by 5pm on Monday, May 25th!

Any loose materials that are not within an assigned bin by 5pm Monday, May 25th will be discarded.

Not sure which bin(s) your RSO has been assigned, or need a reminder about the lock-code? Reach out to Carol Luka if you have questions.

RSO Re-Registration Priority Deadline May 31:

Please refer to the past few RSO Officer Newsletters for the detailed instructions and FAQs/troubleshooting related to RSO Re-Registration. This is an annual requirement that alerts the Student Engagment Team and USG to your RSO's intention to be active in the 2026-27 year.

Here are our tips for a successful Re-Registration application:

  • Update your Constitution
    • It is expected RSOs review and update their Constitution to be sure it accurately reflects the way the RSO conducts business.
    • There are several sections of USG Sample Constitution that are "recommended" or "required" - make sure your constitution has what you need.
    • TIP FOR SUCCESS: make sure your constitution cover page lists the upcoming academic year (2026-27), the re-registration will be returned for modifications if it doesn't.
  • Update your Active Membership Roster
    • You'll be asked to upload a membership roster of those members who will still be active in your organization in 2026-27.
    • TIP FOR SUCCESS: make sure you submit your roster in the correct format - must be an EXCEL file built with THIS TEMPLATE (only columns A - D need to be filled in, and @du.edu email addresses must be used), the re-registration will be returned for modifications if the wrong file type is submitted.
  • Get your 2026-27 Advisor Agreement filled in & Signed
    • new RSO/Advisor agreement form for 2026-27 is required.
    • Now is a great time to check in with your RSO Advisor about their interest in continuing as your RSO advisor next year, or to determine if a different faculty or staff person on campus may be a better fit for the needs of the organization.
    • TIP FOR SUCCESS: make sure all information is filled in, the re-registration will be returned for modifications if any of the blanks are missing information or a signature is missing.
  • Prepare Officer Transition Materials
    • There's an optional upload for transition documents, and a fill-in template you can use to guide you through (clicking the link will download the template).
    • TIP FOR SUCCESS: Register today for Transition & Treats (May 16 | 1pm-4pm) for outgoing and incoming officers to connect and walk through all the important information together!
