Don't forget that every RSO is responsible for at least 25% of their membership completing a Harm Reduction workshop at some point during the year (before the end of Spring Quarter).
More information about the Harm Reduction Requirement can be found here, including information on how many students in your RSO have already completed a workshop.

Sunday, September 7th:
Save the date for Org 101 which will be hosted IN PERSON this fall in the afternoon ahead of the Involvment Fair!
What You'll Need for RSO Re-Registration
The annual RSO Re-Registration window is OPEN alongside the Room Lottery application for recurring weekly meeting spaces in the Driscoll & Community Commons for 2025-26.
You'll need the following to complete the RSO Re-Registration: RSO Constitution: Now is a great time to review your RSO Constitution to be sure it accurately reflects the way your RSO conducts business. There are several sections of USG Sample Constitution that are "recommended" or "required". Now may be a perfect time to build those into your documents.
Here's how you can find your RSO's most recent Constitution Document:
Log into CrimsonConnect
Navigate to your group's page
Find the "Files" section
Click on "Uploaded Attachments"
If there's a folder within that fold (likely called "Other") click that
You should see an archive of past Constitutions that have been uploaded, including the one that was uploaded during Re-Registration last year
Active Membership Roster: You'll be asked to upload a membership roster of those members who will still be active in your organization in 2024-25. You MUST upload this using the provided excel .xls template.
Advisor Agreement:A new RSO/Advisor agreement form is required. Now is a great time to check in with your RSO Advisor about their interest in continuing as your RSO advisor next year, or to determine if a different faculty or staff person on campus may be a better fit for the needs of the organization. Consider how your Advisor can support your team in the process of transitioning to new officers.
Getting ahead of RSO P-Card Use Deadline & Vendor Payments
The last day for RSO PCard usage is NEXTFriday, May 16th to allow time for expense reconciliation by the SAIE Business Office. Student groups should plan accordingly by requesting supplemental funds no later than this Saturday, May 10th and purchasing any program materials/supplies in advance using the P-Card checkout procedure through the Community Commons Welcome Desk (as usual). Don't forget to turn in your receipts!!!
Any RSO’s that needs to pay a vendor after the May 16th date will need to submit a written request to the Business Office by emailing studentcomptroller@du.eduprior to the May 16th deadline.
Failure to comply with this procedure can result in loss of spending privileges or inability to pay vendors.
Please keep an eye out for communications from the Business Office often times prompt responses are needed!
Facilitate a smooth transfer of knowledge from outgoing leaders to their successors. Ensuring you have enough time for effective transitions in Spring Quarter can be very helpful.
The transition guide template attached to this email (linked here and at the bottom of the email) is a fillable word-doc that will help you document important information, processes, and contacts so that incoming leaders have a reference for re-creating annual events or progressing on projects that have been started but not completed.
If you pull up your group page in CrimsonConnect and arrive at the "officer dashboard" you will see a big blue banner at the top of the page with information, important hyperlinks, and the button that will take you to the re-registration. It looks ilke this:
Otherwise, you can open the full group list (from the top of the CrimsonConnect Homepage - use the Groups Icon and click the blue +All Groups button) and you can search for your organization.
The status of your re-registration will be listed next to your group, looking something like this, with the blue "+Group Re-Registration" button there to start the process:
I'm trying to list our new officers for next year but it won't let me type in a name:
Make sure you delete out the name of the person currently listed in the text-box where you can search for the person you want to list. Once there's no name in the box the system will let you search.
*NOTE: some users in CrimsonConnect have their privacy settings such that they are NOT searchable in the CrimsonConnect directory. If the person you're looking for isn't populating you may need to reach out to them to have them temporarily adjust their settings.
I already started the Re-Registration form but now I can't figure out how to pick up where I left off:
Log into CrimsonConnect
Navigate to "My Surveys & Forms" at the bottom of the left-hand menu bar on the homepage
Find the draft of the "RSO Re-Registration 2024-2025" form and click on the "edit" icon
Pick up where you left off and finish submitting.
There’s a good chance you’ll need to scroll down after you read the important information at the top of the page to see the additional questions we need answered.
