Org 201

Join the Office of Student Engagement for an additional training beyond Org 101 and take a deeper dive into topics like conflict, member recruitment/retention, delegation/motivation, teamwork and culture, and change and transitions.

We will share information that is helpful and then host breakout sessions to talk about the various aspects of leadership mentioned above.

Whether you are a current student organization officer or aspire to be one, this training will help prepare you for peer to peer leadership and provide a space to share and discuss current struggles your org may be navigating with the Office of Student Engagement Staff and members of DU Programming Board.

Some food will be provided.

A Message From Christopher

Happy October! As we come into Spooky Season, cooler temperatures, and pumpkin everything, I want to take a moment and congratulate all of you on a successful September!

I have heard many positive experiences from MGC Welcomes You Home, IFC Recruitment, and PHA Recruitment. During September, our community has grown to include more than 1,150 members. Numbers are still fluctuating, but 1,150 is a comfortable number for us to share out. Since last fall, our community has grown nearly 22%!

This is solely due to the work you all have done together and in your individual chapters. While there is still room to grow, I encourage you to take time and reflect on these incredible accomplishments! Many in leadership at the University have shared with me that they are hearing positive experiences. I feel a change in the air and I hope you do too.

We continue to grow and thrive and bring the FSL experience to many new members whose lives will change because of you, your chapters, and our community. You should all be very proud of yourselves for all you have accomplished so far and all that will be accomplished this year.

Thank you for everything you do for our community as students and leaders!

A Message From Madison

Welcome to October and Week 5!! I am still so shocked at how quickly time flies.

Great job to ALL of our students for their recruitment efforts thus far. You all made my first recruitment and intake season at DU great!

I continue to be impressed by all of your hard work and care for your community. It is truly inspiring how you each care so deeply for this community, and I can't wait to continue to watch you all use your gifts to benefit the FSL community and the DU community as well.

I hope you all are proud of your hard work. Please feel free to come to chat anytime!

Tire Change Clinic

DU Time Attack Racing is hosting a tire change clinic this weekend. Being able to change a tire is essential for every driver, especially in case of an emergency. All you have to do is bring yourself and your organization. We will provide the tires and sweet treats!  This event will be held Friday 2-6 and Saturday 12-2 at the Metallurgy Building
