Dr. Nancy Lorenzon, Director of Pre-Health Advising
Dr. Jennifer Hellier, Assistant Director of Pre-Health Advising
Pre-Health Advising provides both academic and career support for students from all majors who are interested in pursuing careers in health care. DU has over 500 pre-health students, and more than 35 majors across campus are represented by pre-health students. We do not have a pre-med or pre-health major and that is intentional; pre-health advising is for students majoring in any discipline. Advising begins before classes start in your 1st year and continues throughout all undergraduate years. Come find out about advising, workshops and presentations, networking events, and volunteer, research and clinical opportunities. We are here to support you in your health-related career pursuit.

This session will answer:
  • What does pre-health look like at DU and how do you get connected with the pre-health advisors
  • How to coordinate and balance their major and pre-health coursework
  • What classes and extracurriculars should a pre-health student focus on in the first year
  • How to get involved and engaged in extracurricular activities
  • What are tips for being successful in the 1st quarter at DU
