About Us
DU AMSA's main objective is to bring pre-medical students together as they navigate their individual journeys to becoming a physician and empower them to participate in resolving the issues facing medicine today. As an organization, we will encourage camaraderie between DU students and foster a supportive community of like-minded individuals pursuing a common goal. This organization will serve as the primary pre-medical organization or club on campus to support students looking to attend medical school. By working with the Pre-Health Society at DU and focusing our events specifically on students looking to attend medical school, we are able to provide more concise and pertinent information to our members. Through various events, meetings, and workshops, our goal is to support students through their undergraduate years in preparation for applying to and attending medical school. DU AMSA aims to serve as a support system for our members and aid premedical students in developing their academic and personal identities as they strive to become exceptional, compassionate, and ethical physicians. Our hope is to provide our members with impactful community outreach opportunities to increase healthcare accessibility within the Denver community. Furthermore, we hope to empower our members to explore current health-related issues such as access and equity. Our greatest goal is to serve. Service is the foundation of being a physician which is why it's our goal to model and teach this.
