Graduate Student Professional Development Grants
The Graduate Student Professional Development Grant (GSPDG) was established to support graduate student academic progress and foster professional growth by encouraging students to present, perform, or compete at significant conferences or exhibitions. Funds are subject to availability.

Students who have received partial funding from COESA in the prior academic quarter can apply for GSPDG funding from the Office of Graduate Education, when funding is available.

Although this funding (when available) is not provided by COESA, the forms first must be submitted to COESA for review, and COESA will work with MCE's budget staff to submit forms to the Office of Graduate Education. Please be sure that you're following both COESA deadlines and GSPDG deadlines when applying for this funding in the future.

Job Opportunities

On Campus
MCE provides a number of employment opportunities to our students. These opportunities include graduate assistantships (GXA), fellowships, and hourly positions. Graduate assistantship duties can include teaching, research, or administration, and can be funded either by the college, university, or grants. GXA positions receive both a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend (paycheck).

Off Campus
DU Career & Professional Development maintains an online job board that lists openings for on- and off-campus positions in the Denver area that are available to all students, regardless of financial need or work-study availability. Many of these positions are just minutes from the DU campus, and pay between $10-$20 per hour.
