Membership

The goal of this club is to have fun, there are no expectations associated with joining. We hold weekly meetings which serve as social events for members to pitch ideas, get feedback on scripts, and enjoy each other's company.

Our sketches are developed in a three-step process: writing, recording, and editing. Members can choose to help with one or more steps at their comfort level in teams under the guidance of our experienced officer team.

Jude Mayeux

Head of Pre-Production

Jude Mayeux is a sophomore studying Film Production Studies at DU. He will one day graduate and step into the world of sketch comedy, but for now we are lucky to call him the Sketch Comedy Club President and Co-Founder. As Head of Pre-Production, Jude assists with everything related to the development of ideas and script-writing.

Cayla Filpi

Head of Production

The other Co-Founder and Vice President of Sketch Comedy Club is Cayla Filpi, a junior double majoring in Psychology and Film Production Studies. She is currently an officer for DU Time Attack Racing's media team, and plans to pursue a master's in Psychology before heading into the narrative film industry upon graduation. As Head of Production she helps keep the club safe, organized and well-equipped when filming sketches.

Leah Mitre

Head of Post-Production

Leah Mitre is a sophomore Film Production and Studies major devoted to the craft of filmmaking. She assists the club as Head of Post-Production, handling the intricacies of video editing.

Cory Coffman

Secretary

Another Film Production Studies major, this time with a double major in Psychology, Cory Coffman serves Sketch Comedy Club as our Secretary. She keeps our meetings organized and focused by taking meeting minutes, and controlling our technology and projector. She handles our social media, and helps us ensure every voice is heard within the club.

Sophie Golden

Events Coordinator

The most organized and detailed member of our club, we owe a lot to Sophie for keeping the club on it's feet. Sophie handles our planning, not only making sure members can make meetings, but also finding events for the club to attend together. Beyond all that, she is queen of thinking of things the other officers overlooked, as well as communications with faculty and our club documents.
