The Undergraduate Women in Business Mentorship Program matches undergraduate members with professionals in their field of interest. The program provides members with the opportunity to create impactful, meaningful connections with influential women who can provide knowledge, guidance, and support.
The Mentorship Program is a 6 month commitment beginning at your initial meeting with your mentor. You will have the opportunity to opt-out of the relationship at the end of the quarter if your interests change or you cannot meet expectations.
During your initial meeting with your mentor, you will agree upon the frequency of your meetings, topics to be discussed, and goals for the program. Thus, the program is tailored to your individual interests and level of commitment.
Applications for the program open twice per year: at the beginning of fall quarter and at the beginning of winter quarter. 2021 Winter Applications open January 11th and close January 22nd.
Fill out a thoughtful application indicating your professional interests, goals for the future, and reason for applying to the program.
Within one week after you submit an application, you will be invited to attend a brief 15 minute Zoom conversation with 1-2 of our E-Board members so we can better gauge interest and find a meaningful mentor match.
Three weeks after the Zoom interview, and no later than Week 6 of DU's Quarter, you will be matched with a mentor and introduced to them via email.
After you are introduced via email to your mentor, it will be up to you to schedule your first meeting. During the first meeting you will fill out a Mentorship Contract with your mentor, outlining the expectations of the program and creating goals for the relationship.
