At DU, we’re committed to a safe, healthy community. Hazing, which is any group activity that humiliates, degrades, abuses, or endangers another, undermines student well-being and has no place at DU. RECOGNIZE - RESPOND - REPORT Recognize Red Flags. Not all “traditions” are harmless. Review warning signs and discuss them with your teams. Respond Safely. Use bystander strategies: direct (be the primary helper), delegate (assign a task or get assistance), distract (create a distraction or halt the situation), or delay (follow up later, unless immediate support is required). Report Concerns. Include who/what/when/where using DU’s reporting resources. Take Action. Complete the Hazing Prevention Module
