We are week 4 into fall quarter, and it is that time again to introduce some of our favorite DUPB traditions and classics! Whether you are stopping by the DUPB booth to grab a snack or camp the night away, DUPB is always here to distract you from your studies!

Adventure Awaits!

We are back baby!! It is that time of year where you can get a chance to camp out to win a golden ticket and attend all the home DU hockey games for FREE!
We are back with another yearly tradition! Join us for Hockey Night Lights, starting on Friday, October 3rd @ 10am and ending on Saturday, October 4th @ 10am on the green outside of the Ritchie Center.

Show your competitive spirit with a soccer tournament or chill on the ice at our open skate. Take part in trivia or try your luck at some carnival games! Then take a break and enjoy some Snarf's sandwiches for dinner! Finally, end the night off by watching Lego Batman with your friends!

Hockey Night Lights is Almost Here!

Get ready, the tradition is back and bigger than ever! Each year, students camp out for the chance to win a Golden Ticket, and this time we’re adding even more fun: free food, s’mores, ice skating, games, prizes, and even a movie night featuring Lego Batman! Whether you try something new or stick to your favorites, there’s something for everyone at Hockey Night Lights!
Check-in begins Friday, October 3, at 10:00 AM outside the Northwest corner of the Ritchie Center (look for our tent!).

Event Highlights & Schedule

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Check in
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Vendors + fun activities while you set up tents
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Prize games & activities (DU swag, intramural passes, training vouchers & more!)
5:30 PM | Food – Snarf’s
6:30 PM – 7:30 PM | DUPB/REC Activities
7:15 PM-8 PM Just Dance
8:00 PM | Open Skate begins on Magnus
9:00 PM | Rec Block – DJ + fun game on the lacrosse field
9:00 PM (Canes and Pizza) | Food for all checked-in attendees
12:00 AM | Outdoor movie night: Lego Batman (Cable Center lawn)

Saturday, October 4th
7:30 AM Donuts and Ticket Distribution
8:00 AM Doors Open, Golden Ticket Distribution Ritchie Center North Entrance (by the front circle)
10:00 AM SHARP: Event officially ends—please pack up belongings by then

Campout Guidelines
Form a Crew (3–6 people required): This is your official Hockey Night Lights Crew.
Choose a Crew Captain: They’ll handle communication, check-ins, and updates. Everyone else registers as Crew Members.
Stay All Night: To be eligible for a Golden Ticket, your whole Crew must stay from 6:00 PM Friday through lineup at 7:30 AM Saturday.
Check-in Process: One member can check in for the group at 10:00 AM; everyone else must check in individually before 6:00 PM.
Tent Rules: No stakes or sharp objects allowed. Plan ahead!
