Hockey Night Lights, formerly known as Hockey Campout is back and better than ever! This year, the tradition where groups of students sleep overnight to have a 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 at winning a Golden Ticket will also have free food along with s'mores, ice skating, recreational games and so much more. We will also be having a movie night and the opportunity to win some prizes. Try out some new activities or stick to what you enjoy! Either way, this event has a little something for everyone!

Check-in begins on Friday 9/27 at 10:00am outside of the North West corner of the Ritchie Center.

11:00am - 1:00pm we will have vendors and fun activities as folks are setting up tents and getting their things out on the lawns.

1:00pm we will have an intramural soccer tournament for intramural passes and maybe golden tickets, so bring your team by then if you can!

At around 5:30 and 9:30pm we will have some food for those who have checked in, so be sure to be around at those times.

We will have open skate on Magnus, intramural fun, outdoor movie night, fire pits, s'mores, and other fun activities all night long to win tickets and other prizes as a team. Check out the full schedule at check-in.

Attendees who stay overnight will have the chance to win Golden Tickets in the morning around 7:30am.

In order to participate in the campout process, please form groups with fellow students according to the guidelines listed below:

1) Find a group of friends and a tent to fit you (a group size of 3-6 is the perfect 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 number)! This group will become your official Hockey Night Lights Crew.

2) Designate a Crew Captain. This will be the one person who is responsible for communications between your Crew and our DUPB Team, check-ins throughout the night, and should be keeping an eye out for emails with important information regarding the campout. Everyone else in the group will be designated as Crew Members. Make sure to only register as either a Crew Captain or Crew Member.

3) Enjoy Hockey Night Lights and watch for more incoming information!

Key Points to Keep in Mind:

1) Your entire Campout Crew will have to camp out all night to be eligible for a 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 to win a Golden Ticket! There will be a set time when everyone participating in the event and would like the 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 for a Golden Ticket must stay in the designated area until the morning, which will be noted on the itinerary as well as other Hockey Night Lights announcements. As of now, please plan on this time to be 6:00pm!

2) When check-in opens on the day of Hockey Night Lights, one member can stand in line to check their whole Crew in. After this step is complete, each member can check in on their own time before the set time mentioned above. An updated itinerary will become readily available at the check-in booths as well as a digital version accessible through our social media platforms.

3) 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧! Please note that we will 𝗻𝗼𝘁 allow any 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 to weigh down tents, so plan accordingly.

4) Find more information and tips on our DUPB website linked below! https://crimsonconnect.du.edu/dupb/how-to-hockey-campout/

5) Hockey Night Lights will be ENDING at 10 am SATURDAY 9/28 SHARP. Please note that this is the official end date, and to have your belongings packed up by that provided time.

6) Last but NOT LEAST.... Have so much fun!! Make some friends!! Enjoy Hockey Night Lights!
