Create, Activate, Play (4D)U is a University-wide festival that celebrates play and well-being through creative expression, group fitness, and wellness activities. It is designed to build community, strengthen a sense of belonging, and elevate the 4D Experience through bringing together students, staff, faculty, and administration for two days of exciting events, including workshops, activities, and fitness classes led by our very own DU faculty and staff. It will serve as a culminating celebration to “cap” off the quarter and academic year and represent a dynamic collaboration between the 4D Experience team, the Office of Student Engagement, Health Promotion, Community Commons, and Athletics and Recreation. This year it will take place from June 1st to June 2nd.

Apply to be a Discoveries Leader

Discoveries Orientation is Hiring!

Discoveries Orientation is hiring! We’re looking for returning undergraduate students to join our team starting in Fall Quarter! Discoveries Leaders partner with our FSEM courses to support students as they become members of our DU community. This is a great opportunity to build transferrable skills, meet new people, learn more about DU, & make some extra cash! Logistics: Orientation leaders will move back to campus August 29th (we will figure out your housing for you if this is a concern). You would work full time for that week and Orientation week in training and working for orientation, and then continue to support your FSEM class throughout the fall! Hear it from one of our former peer leaders!  “I really enjoyed being a DL. It’s extremely rewarding to get to hang out with our freshman and help them make the biggest transition in their life”  What are we looking for in applicants? We’re looking for students who are excited to help build our community at DU! You should have strong communication skills, the ability to stay positive and problem solve, and an interest in building your own leadership skills & many other transferable skills! (Extroverts & Introverts alike make great Discoveries Leaders)

It’s almost time to make MyDU Yours!

Students, it’s almost time to make MyDU Yours! DU is proud to announce the campus-wide launch of MyDU, our new internal portal replacing our current portal, PioneerWeb. Starting June 13, MyDU will serve as the new online gateway to information and resources for DU students, faculty and staff. With just a few clicks, MyDU will allow students to check their financial aid status awards, allow for online class registration, view progress towards degree, as well as other university services currently offered on PioneerWeb. Even though PioneerWeb will still be available as we continue to transition programs, it will be going away on September 1, so make sure you check out MyDU starting June 13 so you are prepared in September. We hope you enjoy making MyDU yours! Starting June 13, click here to visit your MyDU personalized portal

Stress Management in Job Searching

Job searching can be a stressful time, especially as we begin our lives outside of DU after graduation. Please comment on a short, asynchronous activity about the different stressors we may face when job searching and preparing. This activity is to create helpful ideas and strategies for ourselves and our outgoing seniors as we navigate through job searching at DU and as we begin our lives outside of campus.
