As part of the 3rd annual Public Good Celebration (May 14, 3pm-5pm CCOM), DU students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit photos to display in the Community Commons art gallery. The top three entries will receive prizes! The winning photos will be announced at the Community Engagement Photo Showcase reception at 2:30pm during the Public Good Celebration. The "BCI Scholarly Show & Tell" platform shines a spotlight on the outstanding contributions made by DU faculty and staff members whose work centers on exploring and/or analyzing the concepts of Blackness in the world. This event offers a space for these exceptional scholars to present their multifaceted research, scholarly endeavors, creative works, and accomplishments through concise 5-minute mini-presentations.
Our next BCI Scholarly Show and Tell will be on Thursday, April 24th, from 5-6:30 pm.
Our aspiration is that activities of this nature will bring us a step closer to gaining insights into the innovative work within our respective fields and create opportunities for exchanging ideas.
Join us on April 24th for our Purpose Dinner. You will meet, mingle and learn from faculty and staff about their own purposeful paths and consider to to chart your own purposeful future.

Join us April 25-27, 2025 for DU's Family Weekend! We offer over 50 events throughout the weekend. From information sessions, bell tower tours, live music, and more there's something for everyone! Visit the DU Family Weekend website (listed below) for more information and an outlined schedule. Please note, lacrosse and opera tickets are sold separately. Use the links provided on our website for discounted tickets.
We offer a range of package options for you to be able to build your schedule with the events that interest you and your student. Family Weekend events are fully funded though the revenue of packages sold. You will need to purchase a package per person. This provides funding for all rentals, musicians, parking, and food provided through the event. Your DU student will gain access to all events and meals included in your package through the student package add on. When you arrive for the weekend, you'll check-in at our family lounge and receive your event badges, food tickets, and swag for the weekend!
While our complete schedule with the 70+ events is being finalized, below is a brief description of the events for the weekend. A month before the event we will open the Family Weekend App that will have a more detailed schedule of all the events you'll gain access to! Come to the annual Consent Fair where various student groups, DU-based partners, and community organizations will lead us through interactive discussions, activities, and games to help us better understand topics related to consent, interpersonal violence prevention, and survivor support!

We are thrilled to invite you to the Climate Conscious Conference—a dynamic gathering dedicated to exploring how climate change intersects within an international relations world, its impacts on communities, and the urgent need for climate justice. This event will bring together students, Indigenous leaders, NGOs, government agencies, local communities, and private stakeholders to engage in critical discussions of environmental sustainability, social equity, economic resilience, human rights, and other intersectional climate issues. At the Climate Conscious Conference, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Engage with scholars and experts from multidisciplinary backgrounds offering fresh perspectives on climate action.
- Amplify the voices of Indigenous groups, youth activists, and local communities shaping the fight for climate justice.
- Network with key players in the climate field—NGOs, policymakers, and private sector leaders—within Colorado.
- Discover innovative climate finance strategies and investments that drive both sustainability and economic growth.
We are also excited to announce our Call for Research Submissions, offering an opportunity for students nationwide to contribute their work on climate-related issues. Stipends will be available for students travelling from out of state.
Please join us for an evening of live music, food, therapy dogs, opportunities to support survivors of interpersonal violence on DU’s campus, and celebrating the incredible work of the recipients of CAPE’s Heart of Healthcare and Heart of the Community awards. Semi-formal attire encouraged.
All event proceeds will support the CAPE Survivor Fund, allowing CAPE to continue supporting DU students, faculty, and staff who have experienced interpersonal violence. This fund has been sustained by ongoing donations from our community, and requests of this resource continue to grow.

Thrive Health Promotion is excited to introduce DU Well Coaching. DU Well Coaching is a new, one-on-one coaching service that provides students structured accountability and support along their journey to achieve their well-being goals. Whether you're looking to build healthier habits, stay consistent with routines, or make meaningful lifestyle changes, DU Well Coaching is here to support you. Students can work with a coach on topics such as sleep routines, balanced nutrition, physical activity, personal finance and spending, and more.
Join the Summer Term 2025 Travel Course: Photography and Art History of the Camino Frances Route, France (ARTS 3701/ARTH 3701)
We are still accepting applications for the summer term travel course, Photography and Art History of the Camino Frances Route, France (ARTS 3701/ARTH 3701). Graduate and undergraduate applications accepted! A stimulating travel class engaging art history and photography as the catalysts to embrace the history, landscape, and culture of the Camino Frances Route through Southwest France. This 12-day class includes a 7-day hike from Aumont-Aubrac to Conques with several days on either end to relax and catch our breath. Daily walking distances will range between 7 and 16 miles. A van will transport our luggage between hotels. You will hike with a daypack. Participants will gain an appreciation for the art history, landscape, and culture of this less crowded but uniquely beautiful French portion of the Camino de Santiago.
