2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Thur, January 15th (12- 1:45pm) | Community Commons #1700
Please join the University of Denver in honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the 2026 MLK Jr. Commemoration. This year’s theme will be “Collective Power: Strengthening Inclusion and Equality in Community,” which will be a panel focused on coalition building that seeks to answer the question posed in Dr. King’s 1967 speech, “Where Do We Go from Here?” King’s address focused on the progress achieved within the Civil Rights Movement, persisted in affirming the pursuit of justice through nonviolence and brotherhood, and envisioned a future rooted in equality and compassion. Open to all members of the DU campus and broader community, this gathering provides an opportunity for reflection, dialogue, and action as we aspire to the ideals Dr. King championed. Together, we honor his legacy and envision a future grounded in equality, compassion, and hope. We look forward to seeing you there!
